At Kinwell Roots, we talk a lot about intentional living. But what does that actually mean?

For us, intentional living means slowing down enough to ask: is this choice serving our health, our family, our home, and the life we're trying to build?

It's choosing progress over perfection.

It isn't about doing everything at once or getting it all right. Our journey has been an evolution — not a revolution. Every year we learn something new, make another small change, and keep growing.

Over the coming weeks and months, we want to share pieces of that journey — not because we've found all the answers, but because we believe we're all learning together.

Some of the Changes We've Made

• Choosing clean beauty products
• Switching from detergent-based soaps to natural soaps
• Removing seed oils from our kitchen
• Replacing refined white sugar with local honey
• Raising bees and learning from nature's incredible teachers
• Growing, drying, and preserving our own herbs and vegetables for winter
• Replacing as much plastic as possible with glass
• Going back to a simple percolator coffee pot
• Switching to a natural salt deodorant
• Swapping prepackaged seasonings for homemade blends

It's Bigger Than Products

But intentional living isn't just about the products we use or the food we eat.

It's the people we surround ourselves with. The conversations we have. The traditions we create. The time we spend outdoors. The moments we choose to unplug. The legacy we're building for our families.
