What’s In Your Skincare? Why Ingredient Transparency Matters

Kinwell Roots tallow balm and face oil products arranged in a flat-lay with dried botanicals, beeswax, and herbs on a warm linen surface

One of the first things that shifted on our wellness journey was learning to read labels.

We started in the kitchen — removing seed oils, choosing whole foods, and simplifying. Eventually, we began asking the same question about skincare:

What exactly are we putting on our skin every day?

The skin is our largest organ. While not everything applied is absorbed systemically, it still deserves thoughtful care.

That's why transparency matters.

At Kinwell Roots:

  • We use natural ingredients
  • We avoid synthetic detergents in our soaps
  • We choose botanicals with purpose
  • We formulate in small batches to maintain quality

Our products are not built around trends. They are built around compatibility — ingredients that work with the skin, not against it.

Grass-fed suet tallow mirrors our skin's natural lipid structure.
Jojoba oil behaves similarly to sebum.
Beeswax helps seal in hydration without suffocating the skin.
Botanical infusions offer gentle, time-tested support.

When you understand what's in your products, trust naturally follows.

We look forward to walking this journey with you.
